To our members past and current:

With our Club now closed for the season we are working on some fund raising ideas to keep our club
afloat. We have already had members reaching out and have surpassed $2,000 in donations to help the
club out. Thanks very much to these people that have reached out already. We are looking into the
Federal Business loan as well as the new Federal program for relief on taxes and Hydro.
We are going to start with an on line auction and we are looking for donations from the members and
community. If people could donate a gift similar to what happens at our club most years and we would
use the website Easy Auction which would have a link on our website. We would ask that if you can let
us know if you could help out with a donation and send us a pic and description of what that is. We are
hoping to roll this out with in the next couple of weeks.
We have set up an online auto deposit with our Bank at Libro and people can send us e-transfers if they
would like to support the club financially. People can use our email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to transfer
donations or mail a check to the club or reach out to any of our Board members. We will be looking to
set up a 50/50 draw this spring as another method of fund raising.
Our Club was founded in 1957 and has run every year until this season. We are thankful for all the hard
work and time, money and effort the members and community has done over the past three years. In
that time frame we have resurfaced the rocks and handles, bought a RO water system, replaced the
roof, built a shed, bought a new compressor, redid the kitchen and the flooring through out the club.
This was well over $200,000 that we raised with no help from the Town or Trillium but from our
members and community. It’s too bad that after all the renovations and we are caught up on these big
projects we are forced to close for the season!
We are now faced with trying to raise $25,000 this next 12 months to pay our bills and not have to
approach the banks to get an operating loan. Thanks for everyone’s help and please consider helping
our Club in any way you can. Please forward this email to past members and people that can help out.
Stay safe and will be looking to see our Club opening next September.

Regards, Listowel Curling Club Executive
