We are sorry to inform you that due to low numbers of people interested in curling in the 20-21 season there will be no ice at Listowel Curling Club . We looked at the cost of running and the cost of staying closed. We felt we needed 75 members to open and we got 50 yes and 43 no and about 10 that might start in the new year .

We estimated it would cost $25000 to stay closed with still having to pay heat - hydro-taxes-insurance.

We do only have $18000 in the bank.

We are looking into ways to try and lower these costs .

We are also looking into grants from government.

Also thinking of doing 50/50 draws for the year

And an online auction.

Don't forget AGM is on Nov. 3 at 7pm if interested there is still room let us know if coming.

Also if you have stuff at the club you would like to get out please come that night if you want to get it.

Thanks from the executive
